With Pimp C and other notable producers handling the beats, Young Buck began working on his debut album, "Straight Outta Cashville." The title was a nod to Tupac Shakur's classic album "Straight Outta Compton," and the music reflected a similar blend of gangsta rap and Southern hip-hop.
