The future of Indian women lies in dismantling the patriarchal bargain —the tacit agreement to accept male authority in exchange for protection. With falling fertility rates, rising education, and the sheer power of demographic numbers, Indian women are slowly, often painfully, rewriting the rules of their culture from within.
