Before the 2000s, most foreign cartoons in Serbia were shown with subtitles or live voice-over (a single narrator reading all lines). That changed in 2002 with the first Ice Age film. The distributor, Tuck Vision (later acquired by Blitza), made a bold decision: a full, synchronized dub into Serbian, not just a voice-over. This was a technical and financial risk.
