Drawing on Hardt and Negri’s notion of affective labor and D. Miller’s concept of viral affect , the analysis views the video as a site where emotional labor is both performed and commodified. The older sibling’s laughter, the younger sibling’s teasing, and the camera’s lingering shots constitute a choreographed affective performance intended for mass circulation.
