A practical tip for students and parents: Collect old national tests from 2015 onwards. The Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket) has released many of them for practice. Start with one test as a diagnostic early in the spring term. Then, two weeks before the real test, complete another old exam under full pressure – no music, no phone, strict timing. Finally, use a third test to practice only the sections that remain challenging. Avoid doing too many tests in a row, which can lead to burnout. Instead, combine test practice with focused skill-building, such as reading editorials (ledare) to improve argument analysis or writing short opinion pieces to sharpen your own voice.
