Access to science education in native languages is critical for effective learning. In Sri Lanka, while the curriculum includes human biology, high-quality digital resources in Sinhala remain scattered. The search query “human body systems in Sinhala PDF top” reflects a growing demand for downloadable, reliable, and curriculum-aligned materials. Objective: This study analyzes the top 20 PDF results from a systematic Google search for the above query, evaluating them for (1) linguistic accuracy, (2) completeness of body systems, (3) visual quality, and (4) pedagogical suitability for Grades 10–13 (Ordinary Level/Advanced Level). Methods: A simulated search (incognito mode) was conducted. Inclusion criteria: free PDF, Sinhala script (not just transliterated English), and coverage of ≥4 body systems. Exclusion: commercial products, broken links, or non-educational content. Each PDF was scored using a 20-point rubric. Results: Only 5 of 20 PDFs met basic quality standards. Common issues included: mixed Sinhala-English terminology (e.g., “රුධිර සංසරණ පද්ධතිය” used inconsistently), missing systems (reproductive and endocrine most omitted), and low-resolution diagrams. The “top” ranked PDFs were often from personal blogs or exam guides, not government or university sources. Conclusion: There is a significant gap in authoritative, complete Sinhala PDFs on human body systems. A centralized, open-access repository with peer-reviewed Sinhala terminology is urgently needed.
