The first season follows Lyra Belacqua (Dafne Keen) and her daemon Pantalaimon as they embark on a journey to save her friend Roger from the clutches of the Gobblers, a mysterious organization. Along the way, Lyra discovers a parallel universe and a powerful artifact called the Alethiometer.
